Kartel going to Jail

Kartel if you do the crime you must do the time...you queens counsel lawyer, Tavares and matlock cAan save you. No damning evidence presented though but if you are prosecuted, it will be on reasonable doubt... Circumstantial evidence points to you. Can't believe Kartel knowing how precarious and fragile his position is in this society. Renown for turning my generation into deviants...would put himself in a position to be seen as a liability...make himself dispensable. He probably assumed he was above the law. 

News flash teacher... No one is above the law in Jamaica. Probably that X5 guy who killed Kahjeel Mai's is but not the World Boss. 

I am wondering where are the guns that the prosecution claim Clive Lizard Williams was murdered for? That part of the story is still very much a mystery.A big one too. 

I always knew Kartel would get this big. He was all the rave during high school. When I hear my alumni saying Kartel should do time you must know because his ardent supporters would never diss the world boss ever. 

When you high profile in Jamaica, worst if you from a certain background and you a endorse errant or criminal lifestyle, you are not contributing to the improvement of this society. You will be removed by any means necessary. 

Sometimes I wonder what makes almost every Jamaican young man believe that if he is not endorsing badmanism  and errant culture then he is not respected by his peer? 

The story is twofold. The Likkle badman thinks his lifestyle is illegal but somehow legitimate because he has his cheerleaders. He has a whole host of people who inspire him by sensationalizing and glorifying his illicit deeds. 

Little boys would not want to become gangsters if we did not have artiste advocating gangsterism, movies idolizing James Bond and video games that help boys simulate gun slinging culture. 

We have a created a culture where guns are the emblems of power and people value money more than morals. It didn't happen overtime, it happened gradual, insidious until it culminates into what we have here. 

Sometimes I mused that our boys should be given a chance to rehabilitate instead of being shot dead on sight. Other times I think about how we are going to undo laziness and years of values entrenched overtime. 

Can these Politicians help my generation?

I will foremost thank our politicians for where they have taken Jamaica from and where it is now. We have made advancements in turning our country into a modern place to live and raise children. We have made advancement in transportation and telecommunication but we have a far way to go still.


A man was murdered before his common law wife and their baby. Who is going to take care of that child now? Who is going to prevent that child from developing a hatred for a community that knows about its killer but remained tight lipped out of fear. How can you teach our children not harbour feelings of resentment and distrust for their community, the police or our politicians when it seems that no one cares.

Do politicians know how many Jamaicans feel hopeless in a country where you can die any day and nothing comes of your death? Does the youth minister Lisa Hannah know that young people are wondering why she does not have someone on the ground trying to find out what the youths need and how she can help them. We are all too busy playing politics in this country. TOO MUCH RED TAPE, FEAR AND KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT OR THEY WILL KILL YOU IS WHAT WE ARE POISONING THE MINDS OF OUR CHILDREN WITH.

We do not understand that the same people in life that you deprive will be the same people to deprive you. These likkle ghetto youths that nobody cares about will be the same people that will crawl into your windows and steal and murder your family. When will we wake up to the vicious cycles that we are perpetrating?

Do you think that you are safe in your salubrious communities? A revolution is coming and there will be blood to pay. Hungry days are ahead. I keep preaching and asking our politicians to have dialogue with the people. Listen to the people,do not ignore the people. Try and help the people so that they will in turn help you make this nation a better place.

You think only people who are light skin or who have degrees have vision for this country.I decry the system that has kept my people shackled to lies, distortions and fear. My heart bleeds every time someone dies. Imagine today. i accompany my friend who has a masters degree to get a teaching job and she was turned down. She bemoans the system that tells her to get an education yet cannot provide employment for her.

It seems only people in parlour business and hit men making money in Jamaica. Gun deh yah than opportunities for advancement for the young men what do we expect them to do? . Have a gun and starve.

People say that i need to make up my mind.Sometimes I denounce the violence of our ghetto youths and other times i seemed to be empathising with them. My empathy stems from knowing how difficult it has been for them to try and make a living. People with qualifications are finding it difficult to get a job, so just imagine the man who does not have a certification to his name.

Dialogue is what i am asking our political leaders to have with our youths. We have some great ideas on our way forward. An elder woman scolded me for saying that i believe that many of our politicians need to retire and give our young people a chance. She chided me saying that "young people do not have the experience". I looked at her and shook my head. Apparently she was born with experience. She did not garner it over the years through trial and error like normal people do. I retorted "young people will gain experience when they are given an opportunity to try out their ideas and make mistakes like our old folks" ...

Conflict Resolution to fight Crime in Jamaica

I was watching the news last night where a family member was murdered because she controlled a family house and there was an ongoing dispute over it. I think one of the biggest catalyst for crime and violence is domestic disputes and until we can find effective ways to resolve our issues than resorting to murder then we will never have a peaceful jamaica. As a youth politician I believe that we need a rigorous conflict resolution programme that engages our community and we need mediators who can help to settle disputes before they escalate into body bags and funerals.




We have to build community programmes and outreach centres where mediators are placed within communities that have several flare up of intermittent violence to assist in helping citizens alleviate some of the disparities and frictions that often arises during their day to day associations.

People in Jamaica are not taught to apologise. This is a central issue within our society where people refuse to admit and acquiesce whenever they are wrong . We need an overhaul of our morality continuum. I heard that the minister of education, The Honourable Ronny Thwaites purported that a tolerance subject be added to the school curriculum.

I believe that our school needs an ethics class where children are encourage from youth to be tolerant of people, to understand that someone's opinion will differ from yours as people have divergent views and different experiences. People who do not conform to your beliefs should not be ostracised, murdered or maimed because you are offended. Children are encourage to always seek mediation instead of "chucking" violence whenever you and someone have a misunderstanding. We must emphasize the value of human life and relay the notion that murdering someone does not solved any problem in hindsight, it creates more violence such as reprisals etc.

We must also encourage our children in this curriculum to learn that walking away does not mean you are coward and even so cowards will always live to see another day. We should teach them also that sometimes the only way out is to stand up for what you believe in. Do not let anyone cower you into fear and submission by duress. We only submit to people that we respect and value their existence because it complements our humanity.


We need to rebuild our trust in the police force. Crime and Violence escalates because people with knowledge of criminal activities and perpetrators are afraid to give information to the police because most crime lords are alleged friends and allies of Police Officers. Until we get a collaborative effort between citizens and police officers we will not be able to eradicate the stench of criminality within our communities.


Politicians often think that crimes are committed on the basis of needs and wants. This maybe true but there is a growing dynamism within communities in Jamaica where the prevalence of guns and the accessibility
to guns for many young men has made assassins wealthy and parlours a very thriving business. There are bigger issues because in areas where Member of Parliaments and Councillors are absent than young men murdering and stealing. Where they are not role models, governance, young men easily become soldiers for the wrong set of people.


Our children especially our young men should be persuaded not to carry out people's dirty work. When I was a child we went to church every Sunday. We need to get back to our roots, Most of our values and morals are stemmed from our Christian principles we were taught as children. Our children need to go to bible school so that they can be morally shaped.
